Tech job growth is now up for 21st straight month

In the technology sector, new hires in IT services and custom software development roles, which added 14,400 employees, picked up the pace of job growth in August. Strong growth was also seen in computer and electronic product manufacturing (+4,500), data processing, hosting and related services (+3,200), and other information services, including search engines (+3,000). Telecommunications jobs have increased by about 400.
