The Phoenix Suns are interested in trading Utah Jazz forward Bojan Bogdanovic. arizona sports John Gambadoro reported Thursday night.
Phoenix reportedly reached out to the Jazz about the 33-year-old after Utah traded All-Star Donovan Mitchell to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday.
The Jazz are rebuilding after acquiring Mitchell and All-Star center Rudy Gobert this offseason, but there are still tradeable veteran pieces left on the roster.
Bogdanovic is entering his contract year after scoring 18.1 points per game in 69 games last season.
The eight-year NBA veteran has made 869 three-pointers over the past five years, 10th most in the league.
Bogdanovic shot 38.7% from beyond the arc in the 2021-22 season with the 5th-seed Utah team in the Western Conference. Additionally, he has playoff experience in his 47 career games.
The Suns haven’t made a move to sign a player like Bogdanovic this offseason.

Phoenix is looking to bounce back from last season’s second-round failure, and Bogdanovic could provide space to pair with Chris Paul and Devin Booker as a prolific shooter. At 6-foot-7, he mostly plays 3s or 4s.
The Suns need to pair multiple players to match Bogdanovic’s $19.3 million annual salary this season and Utah’s agreed draft capital.
With Bogdanovic’s contract expiring, it could be a win-now move as the Suns look to return to the NBA Finals.
