Global technology company EA Elektro-Automatik has opened a new technology and training center in Troy to provide product demonstrations, training and pre-purchase testing to automotive companies nationwide.
Eric Turner, Director of Americas, EA Elektro-Automatik, said: “Our new center provides a powerful way to showcase our strengths and capabilities to better serve the rapid growth of electrification research and manufacturing in the region.”
EA Elektro-Automatik offers advanced power test technology that sets it apart from the competition. The company’s units offer enhanced power density of up to 15kW in 3U packages and up to 30kW in 4U packages. Additionally, EA bi-directional units offer best-in-class energy recovery rates (>96%), offering the ability to reduce heat, noise, and operating costs for a faster ROI.
The center has an advanced demo lab available for in-person training and testing, as well as a video demo lab for remote sessions, allowing customers to test various power supplies and software tools. Video demonstrations are conducted by application engineers and feature up to 6 cameras for multiple views. Video demo lab reservations can be booked in as little as two days.
While the center expects to serve the local automotive industry, overseas customers and prospects are also encouraged to come to the center for training and pre-purchase testing needs.
Nationwide growth in electric vehicles, alternative energy technologies, and energy storage is expanding applications for EA customers and increasing demand for advanced test equipment.
“We partner with many renewable energy companies to help them test demanding power applications,” Turner said. “The new center will build long-term partnerships with these companies and enhance our ability to help advance technology to meet development and sustainability goals.”
EA Elektro-Automatik plans future expansion of the center to handle the growing technology interest in DC power supply testing.
