She will pull it off with a little help from her friends.
Those friends want to meet at The Trap on Highway 20 in Fonthill on Saturday, October 1st to raise money to help Harper.
Three-year-old Harper Bickel was in an accident earlier this year that injured her leg and leg.
“She lost all her right toes and part of her foot. She lost muscle mass from her ankles to her knees,” said friend Peter Paul.
She underwent extensive surgery at Children’s Hospital in Hamilton.
The GoFundMe was created to help with medical bills, but Papp says it’s almost depleted.
As such, we are working with a group of supporters to try to raise another $10,000 in line with the original Gofundme goal.
GoFundMe has now raised over $14,000.
“We know she will need financial help to recover physically. She will have physical and emotional scars that she will have to deal with. ”
“We’re asking for a donation that can be placed in a trust fund in her mother’s name and have very clear assumptions about how they’re going to spend it,” he said.
Pup said the event will run from 1pm to 5pm
The Poker Run will also start at 1pm and will be held in Port Colborne and Fort Erie.
Trapp had live and silent auctions with door prizes worth 50-50 and over $5,000.
Pup said there will also be live music by Wet Nights.
He noted that Harper was there to say hello and encouraged everyone to stop by and show support.
“Please help her recover with us,” Papp said.
