With no games left until Eurobasket, Greece coach Dimitris Itoudis is awaiting final news from his team doctor on players available for the tournament.
So Greece could go to Italy with 13 or 14 players. “That’s what we’re looking at, not because we recently proposed to extend the roster, but because we may need to make a final decision on the final roster on the final day.” Itoudis said.
There is, however, modest optimism that Kostas Sloukas, Kostas Antetokounmpo, Ioannis Papapetrou and George Papagiannis will be available, giving Greece the best possible roster.
“We have some good news, we’ll find out at practice on Tuesday.” Itoudis said. “Papagiannis and Papapetrou feel very good and are already training with the rest of the team.
