The cruise planner has announced that it will join the Signature Travel Network effective September 29th.
The travel agency franchise network had been affiliated with American Express’s Travel Representative program for 18 years, which was due to end in December. Signature focuses on industry-leading technology, marketing and training programs that cruise planners can utilize to enhance their offerings.

The decision to join Signature resulted in shared values that Cruise Planners believe will enhance the travel experience for clients in their 2500-strong home-based travel agency network.
“This is welcome news and we feel strongly that this is the right direction for us,” said Michelle Fee, CEO of Cruise Planners. “Signature’s program has been impressive and I felt that the company reflects the essence of the pillars we hold.”
“There are many complementary programs offered by Signature that elevate the brand of cruise planners and give advisors an extra edge to drive their business forward,” Fee continued.
Founded in 1994, Cruise Planners is the nation’s largest home travel agency franchise network. In July, the company announced his automated SMS messaging program, which allows Trip Advisor to send various marketing communications and travel updates to customers via text message.
Earlier this month, Cruise Planners COO and co-partner Vicky Garcia passed away after a long illness. Garcia was one of the most famous and influential figures in the travel industry and was admired for her tenacity and positive thinking.
