college game day Heading to Columbus, Ohio for the big Ohio vs. Notre Dame game this Saturday, they’re rolling out the red carpet for guest pickers.
ESPN has announced that Grammy-nominated rapper Jack Harlow has been named a guest performer and picker for this weekend’s Guest Selection. Harlow confirmed in the video that he will be performing for fans in Ohio before choosing alongside Desmond Howard, Kirk Herbstrait and the inimitable Lee Corso.
But the decision to make Harlow a guest picker is quickly becoming controversial. ESPN usually brings in a celebrity associated with one of the colleges they play in, or at least the state their home team plays in.
Harlow has nothing of the sort, and Buckeyes fans are frustrated. You’re tearing ESPN apart for bringing it.
Unfortunately for Buckeyes fans, ratings are the name of the game, and Jack Harlow is fast becoming a big draw, no doubt bringing Ohio State students to the event in droves.
Harlow may only be 24 years old, but he already has three Grammy nominations, multiple hit singles and audiences almost everywhere he goes.
break tradition? of course. Is it the beginning of a trend? probably.
