(CNN) — A Canadian company has announced plans for a fully electric train-style vehicle capable of traveling at 1,000 kilometers per hour. The company claims it’s cheaper than a plane ticket to travel.
FluxJet was unveiled by TransPod in its hometown of Toronto last month with a scaled-down one-ton version of what it calls an “airplane-train hybrid” with a live demonstration of its capabilities.
It is based on similar principles to the “Hyperloop” concept made famous by US entrepreneur Elon Musk. FluxJet is propelled along a protected tube he guideway at lightning speed using a breakthrough technology based on a new branch of physics called “Veilance Flux”.

The pods are magnetically levitated and can travel at high speeds thanks to vacuum tubes.
The train operates exclusively on a network system called the TransPod Line, with stations in major cities and locations.
The proposed first phase of the infrastructure project, estimated at $18 billion, will connect the Canadian cities of Calgary and Edmonton. The distance is about 300 kilometers and it takes 3 hours by car.
FluxJet travels faster than an airplane and three times faster than a high-speed train, reducing travel time to 45 minutes.

TransPod hopes to reduce highway traffic and reduce carbon footprint.

Earlier this year, TransPod announced that it had secured $550 million in funding to date. The project is currently in the research and development stage with a focus on environmental assessment and land acquisition.
TransPod co-founder and CEO Sebastien Gendron told CNN: .”
According to TransPod’s vision, the network will transport up to 54 passengers and 10 tons of cargo at once on FluxJet vehicles, with trains departing every two minutes.
The company says the new system will significantly reduce highway traffic and help cut CO2 emissions by about 636,000 tons annually.
They claim that a FluxJet ride is about 44% cheaper than a plane ticket for the same journey, but when the general public expects to travel on a FluxJet, or what other cities in this billion No timeline has yet been announced for when it will be picked up. -Dollar Network, These predictions seem to contain a fair amount of speculation about how the next few years will unfold.

Focusing on world-first designs and technological breakthroughs, TransPod says it is “developing every aspect of the new tube transport system from the ground up, from design to system engineering.” partner. ”
A magnetically levitated Fluxjet train shoots down the guideway using an aerodynamic and propulsion system designed to reduce friction. TransPod describes the experience as “smooth acceleration on the runway of a jet plane and coasting at full speed in the tube’s guideway.”
Gendron told CNN his team estimates FluxJet won’t be carrying the first public transit passengers by 2035. It connects Dubai and Abu Dhabi and Sydney and Brisbane in Australia. “
