Manchester United have agreed a £86million deal for Ajax winger Anthony.
Personal terms were agreed with the 22-year-old, who completed his medical care in Carrington on Monday.
A formal announcement is expected soon, subject to international approval.
Anthony needs to be registered by noon on Wednesday to play for United’s Premier League match at Leicester City on Thursday. It is considered unlikely as his visa and work permit have not yet been sorted out.

A move to United will see Anthony reunited with former Ajax boss Eric ten Haag.
Anthony has scored 31 goals and provided 27 assists in 134 appearances for Ajax and Sao Paulo, and two goals and two assists in nine competitive appearances in his native Brazil. He has won his two titles in the Eredivisie and a gold medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
Anthony is United’s third-highest-paid deal, behind Paul Pogba (£93.3m) and Romelu Lukaku (£90m).
They are also working on a deal to sign Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka on loan.
Why Anthony is the Ten Hug Man
“Of course I hope he will be Ajax’s next star.” Introducing Anthony.
“Ajax always strives for the top,” added Ten Hag. “So I expect him to do his best to reach that level of expectation. The rest will be seen in the future.”
Ten Hag was right to have high hopes for Anthony – the Brazilian, who was just 19 when he agreed to move to Amsterdam, quickly established himself as one of Ajax’s leading players. Did – but even he could not have predicted that he would one day take him to Manchester United.
